These hand stripped peacock quills make beautiful quill bodies. They are dyed in several realistic colors. Each package comes with 25 quills. Several tyers we know store their quills in the package with a drop or two of vegetable oil to keep them soft and pliable. The oil does make them slippery and hard to grasp when wrapping. You may also soak them in water before using. I think that is a better idea. Byron
