The Ross Evolution LTX Fly Fishing Reel is newly designed and inspired by the feel of the Evolution LT and the performance of the Evolution R. This is a beautiful combination of two very cherished fly fishing reels designed and made in Colorado, by Ross.

The ultra-smooth drag found in the Evolution LT has long been cherished by anglers. Ross’s engineers took this design to the next level. The drag in the LTX is 4 times stronger than its predecessor. The drag is based on the stacked-disc system in the Evolution R.

The large arbor spool features a new line channel to cleanly hide arbor knots when winding on backing. The bell-shaped arbor design adds strength, while also helping to level the fly line when it is retrieved.

The handle on the LTX is machined from canvas phenolic, which reduces weight, adds durability and is easy to grip when dry or wet.

Not only is the Ross Evolution LTX a super freshwater reel, it is right at home in saltwater environments. The 7 | 8 weight model is a great lightweight saltwater contender. This model is hard anodized in the color black. It is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, in the United States.
