KonneticHD Technology is the newest from Sage and has pioneered graphite fly rods to a new level. Sage uses their new proprietary graphite/resin composite developed through manufacturing partnerships. High density (HD) fiber positioning and enhanced laminate characteristics, along with new manufacturing techniques, increase the composite modulus of the graphite blank while maintaining durability.

KonneticHD amplifies the strength-to-weight and stiffness ratios, to make these rods perform better than older methods and materials.

The optimized fiber-to-fiber energy transfers along the blank to minimize both lateral and medial vibrations, for much better accuracy, easy loading of the rod and quick recovery that results in tighter loops and more accurate casts.

This is the highest energy transferring material Sage has ever created and it is opening new doors for their Research and Development Team.

The Sage Salt HD fly rod is handcrafted at their manufacturing facility on Bainbridge Island, Washington, in the USA.

The blank’s color is called Squid Ink and the rod’s guides are wrapped with black thread and blue trim wraps.

The Salt HD features oversized Fuji ceramic stripper guides and oversized hard chromed snake guides and tip-top.

The reel seats are heavy duty black anodized aluminum in the up-locking configuration. The seat features an integrated hidden hook keeper and it is laser etched with the line weight so you will grab the right rod you need when seconds matter.

The Sage Salt HD is stored in an included beautiful Blue powder coated aluminum rod tube with a Sage medallion and a black rod bag with the blue logo and model tag.

The 13 to 16 weight rods feature a Super Plus full-wells cork handle with an extended fighting butt. All other models have the Super Plus full-wells cork handle and the shorter fighting butt.
