Dr. Hisao Ishigaki is one of the renowned tankara anglers in Japan, and this is the fly he uses, exclusively and has for 10 years. The fly, Ishigaki Kebari is named for him. In keeping with the spirit of tenkara, more emphasis is placed on the technique, not the gear the angler uses. Dr. Ishigaki must have that figured out.
