I remember the early days at Little River Outfitters in 1995. I tied Bead Head Pheasant Tails all Winter long, getting ready for Spring. We tied flies to sell during the Winter months. There was nothing else to do. This fly is to this day, our best selling trout nymph. Anglers swear by them in the Smokies. Tailwater fishermen buy the smaller sizes and catch large rainbows and browns on them. I always recommend them in the daily fishing report. This little fly is awesome.
