Fly fishermen who travel may find the Windriver Roll Top Backpack an essential backpack, to protect their gear from water and the classic has been upgraded. Offered in a new color, Fishpond also added a thermoformed back panel and an adjustable hip belt. 

The Windriver is a backpack, that is a newer generation of and older Fishpond pack. One huge difference is, the new Windriver has a thermomolded back panel for support and comfort. The foam shoulder straps offer comfort while saving weight. The hip belt is removable and can be adjusted vertically to fit people with different torso lengths.

The Windriver Roll Top Backpack is waterproof. Your gear and clothing will stay dry. Using the roll top configuration, as opposed to the TZIP saves costs. And, the height of the pack is somewhat adjustable due to this feature.

The pack is constructed from 420 denier Cyclepond Fishpond Fabric, coated with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with heat welded seams, like whitewater rafts are made. If you are not transporting something heavy, like an anvil, drop this pack in the water and it will float. The contents will remain dry.

There is plenty of room for your essentials, 2,318 cubic inches. A stretch zippered pocket on the front of the pack is ideal for items you need quickly, like a passport or airline ticket. This pocket is not waterproof.

Buy a pair of optional Fishpond Gear Straps, and use the unique Fishpond strap attachments, to secure a fly rod tube or a rain jacket on the outside of the pack, on either side or both.

The interior of the main compartment has two pockets for organization, one is zippered and the other is a clear slash pocket.

The Windriver is compatible with many Fishpond chest packs that have modular buckles, connected to the shoulder straps and the hip belt. You can fish while wearing this pack and not worry about the contents, should you fall in the water.

Use the Windriver as a boat bag or a dry bag when paddling, rafting, drifting or kayaking. It is perfect for these uses. You can remove the hip belt for these uses.
