This is an Olive version of the very popular Bead Head Hare's Ear Nymph that fly fishing anglers have used for years. A Hare's Ear is said to be a good Caddis Pupa imitation, and oftentimes the larva can be a green color. This fly is a great alternative if you are fishing in an area with an active Mother's Day Caddis hatch.
