The Ant in the color Black, is a fly fishing fly, used during the warm months, with great success. We recommend this fly to many customers who fish in the Smoky Mountains. The Black Ant is hard for anglers to see on the water, making it difficult to detect strikes. We recommend trailing this fly close behind a more visible dry fly or a strike indicator. If you see a fish rise near the indicator or the larger more visible fly, strike.
