The Black Bully Bug, is a “must have” fly when fly fishing for bluegill, shellcrackers or other large panfish. This fly is weighted. It sinks to the levels where these fish feed. The weight is tied in at the back of the fly. When you twitch it, the bug’s head moves downward. That movement has proven to trigger strikes from large bluegill.
