The Chernobyl Ant is a great summertime fly fishing fly for a variety of species. For starters, the thick foam and rubber legs does a great job of imitating a variety of insects, from a cicada to a grasshopper to a big ant or beetle. It floats well and will catch plenty of trout where big terrestrials are present. This fly also does a great job at picking off shade-loving panfish and bass in the summer.
