During the Summer, the Cinnamon Ant is a fishing catching fly in the Smokies. Fly fishing anglers have been using this fly pattern for years. We read about it in Don Kirk’s book 25 years ago. He talked about catching trout on this fly on Cataloochee Creek. This fly has been in our lineup for almost 20 years. Anglers keep buying and using them, probably because they continue to catch trout in the Great Smoky Mountains. Since they are hard to see, tie them on as a dropper behind another dry fly and you will catch more trout.
