The Doculator is a superb dry fly that doubles as an attractor and terrestrial. The Doculator is an excellent hopper pattern. It floats well and is very visible in the surface. It has a hackle collar which when combined with a foam body makes it extremely buoyant. Don’t hesitate to trim the bottom of the hackle. This makes it ride lower in the surface and sometimes the fish love this! The Doculator is an exceptional small stream brookie fly that also works well as a dry dropper anywhere in the Smokies!
