The Elk Hair Caddis in the color peacock, makes a very good attractor fly for fly fishermen who are fishing for trout, just about anywhere. The secret is the peacock herl body. Trout are attracted to many flies using peacock herl, that emits many different colors of light in the water. This fly mimics a caddis fly, but is also very representative of a stonefly.
