Starling birds provide fly tyers with an alternative to many other feathers used when tying soft hackle or wet flies. Starling feathers are particularly useful when tying very small flies, down to size #20. Some feathers on the bird can also be used as a substitute for jungle cock. Each pack contains a whole skin.
