Like all Lamson reels, their fully sealed conical drag comes standard. This is one of the best drag systems on the market and it used on every one of their reels. Please view the illustration below of the conical drag and description. This drag was invented by Lamson and it is patented. It works beautifully and is sealed to keep grit, water and salt out.

The Lamson Remix is a hybrid of cast and machined aluminum. The Remix has a fully CNC machined case and frame. This process offers a structurally rigid frame and a durable, harder, brighter finish. All of the drag components are also CNC machined and assembled right here in the USA. The spool of the Remix is cast aluminum, and is interchangeable with spools from the Lamson Liquid, allowing you to buy spools at a lower price while maintaining a more durable machined frame.

This reel can handle anything you throw at it, without breaking the bank.
