The Light Cahill Parachute is a very popular fly pattern used in the Southern Appalachian streams in late Spring through early Summer. This fly represents many light colored mayflies found in in the rivers and small streams, that time of year. The parachute style allows the fly’s body to ride in the surface film of the water, while allowing the fly fisherman better visibility than with other styles of mayfly dry flies.
