The Nautilus X-Series fly fishing reels are designed and built using a open-frame design for lightness, strength, drag smoothness and fast line pick up. The X-Seris has strong beams extending from the center to a wide line guard. The angles allow for rear spool rim protection where the reels often come in contact with the ground when the rod is leaned against a wall or truck.

The new SCF-X drag is sealed and made using Teflon and carbon fiber discs. The drag is adjusted with a large drag knob that give you superior gripping and texture when your hands or fingers are wet.

The highly ventilated arch design is coupled with a dual palming rim, which increases spool strength by 35%. The sides of the frame leave the spool exposed which has a 1/8” secondary palming rim, with the strength to withstand wear and tear, day after day. This is the lightest spool Nautilus has ever made compared to similar sizes.

The Nautilus X-Series is made in three different sizes, 3.25”, 3.5” and 4”.These are available in two colors, Brushed Titanium or Black Anodized.
