The Renzetti HT512 R-Evolution Large Hair Packer is made for fly tyers who tie huge deer hair bugs and streamers. This is the “Grandfather”, the “Big Un”. When tying big deer hair bugs, you need to pack the hair tightly, making for a denser body or head. This packer does the job.

Renzetti R-Evolution Hair Packers come in three sizes and this is the largest. They are all the same length, made to ergonomically fit your hand. You can apply pressure to your clumps using your entire hand, even your palm, for a tight fit. Most hair stackers only allow you to use your fingers.

The HT512 is made to slip over large hook eyes, and pack hair on large diameter hooks. The large cupped face won’t get lost in long clumps of hair. It can handle the job. The smooth opening virtually eliminates cutting your thread, something we all hate.
