The Scientific Anglers Frequency Sink Tip fly line is an inexpensive alternative to more pricy premium fly lines. Maybe you don’t use a sink tip line often. But, sometimes they can make a huge difference between catching fish, or getting skunked. They do have their place in your arsenal when getting streamers down deeper is necessary.

This fly line lacks some of Scientific Angler’s latest and greatest technology, but it is a very useful line, when needed. And, it costs $49.95.

The Frequency Sink Tip fly line has a 10 foot, type III tip, which sinks fairly fast at 2.5 to 4 inches per second, depending on the line weight you buy. It features a mid-length head and a braided multifilament core. Scientific Angler’s AST Advanced Shooting Technology and a welded loop on the tip are included in this line.

This is a weight forward fly line, with a floating running line and partial belly, with a 10-foot sinking partial belly and tip.

Colors are Optic Yellow for the floating section and a Green sinking section.
