Scott Session Fly Rod

Starting At:
$675.00

The Scott Session is a high performing, handcrafted, all American fly fishing machine. While the Centric is considered to be the successor to the vaunted Radian, we consider the Session to be the Radian's love child. With the Session, Scott's innovative rod design methodology and technologies such as Carbon Link, ARC 2, ReAct, X-Core, and Multi-Modulus all come together to create a lightweight, fast action, and fast recovery speed casting machine. The 9' models are classic Scott western-style rods, offering high line speed and the kind of tight loops needed to fight the high winds of the West. The 10' models on the other hand, slow things down considerably; offering a deeper flex and the kind of superb mending ability that makes them ideal for indicator fishing. After all, nothing tangles a bobber rig faster than a super tight loop.

Most fly rod blanks on the market are run through a belt sander to hide imperfections and reduce engineering tolerances; however this process inadvertently produces variance and potential weaknesses to the structural integrity of the blank while stripping away the external power fibers. Scott does things differently, and the Session features a natural un-sanded graphite blank finish that is lighter, more durable, better performing, and more attractive (we think). Session rods are constructed with a new modified full wells grip design, machined aluminum reel seats with dyed box-elder inserts, silicone nitride stripping guides and low-glare light wire snake guides.
