Exposed ribs hold the patch away from your shirt, vest or pack, to protect flies from loss, due to rub-offs.

The Middle Fork Fly Patch comes attached to a zinger. But, you can remove it from the zinger and attach it directly to a lanyard, or a D-Ring, using the alternative attachment cable that is provided.
