The Spring Quill is a great fly that works particularly well in the early season. But don’t let the “Spring” name fool you. Fish this fly all year long as the slim quill body, soft hackle, and orange hot spot collar makes it very effective in any water where mayfly nymphs are present.  This fly is tied in sizes #14 with 2.8mm bead and  #16 with 2.4mm bead.
