Description
The Tellico Nymph is one of the most versatile sub-surface flies used in the Southern Appalachians and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This is a year-round fly. This is an essential fly pattern.
Most local anglers agree, the Tellico Nymph is a stonefly imitation and was most likely first used on the Tellico River, just south of here in the Cherokee National Forest. Also, most local anglers know that yellow is a color that equates to fishing success in the Southern Appalachian mountains.
This Tellico Nymph is tied weighted. You may add more weight in the form of split shot pinched on your tippet above the fly. Additionally, we offer this fly with a gold bead head for weight and flash. We recommend this non-beaded version for low or very clear water.
This great fly pattern should be in every angler’s box in the Southern Appalachians in several sizes. This is one great fly.BUY ONLINE OR CALL 865-448-9459 TO ORDER
