The Axiom II satisfies the broadest range of casting styles of all TFO rods. Whether you are casting short and powerful, or long and smooth, this rod will accept the caster without having to adapt the stroke. You won’t experience bounce, shock or wobble on the stop. The rods are easy to load. They track very well. The A2 design is the most efficient at line delivery, than any fly rods tested by TFO advisory staff designers.

The A2 is a champion at landing fish. It accommodates all three important angles used when fighting a fish. At 90 degrees to the fish’s pull, the A2 is a long shock absorber to protect tippets from breaking. At 45 degrees, the lever shortens so the bottom half of the rod is bent, giving the angler more power. When using heavy tippet to land large fish, you can lever the rod from 15 to 25 degrees. That bends the rod at the butt, for applying the most pressure. The A2 does all three extremely well.
