The Tungsten Pheasant Tail Jig, is used when fly fishing for trout, with a Czech nymph rig. This is a fly that anglers would use as the “anchor fly”, in a rig. Or, it can be fished alone. The hook rides up, to lessen snagging the streambed or debris. This fly is tied on a barbless hook in sizes #12 and #14.
