Wapsi Swiss Straw is a unique fly tying material that is most often used for bodies on nymphs or emergers. Swiss Straw is a carded material that is flat and slightly translucent. When unfolded it is 1.5” wide. Despite this it is easily folded over to the desired width. It is crinkly and works perfectly for scud backs or wings. It is great for bodies and wing buds on caddis pupae as well. Some terrestrial flies call for this material. Swiss Straw is an incredibly versatile material.
