Thin Skin from Wapsi is a superb fly tying material for tying shellback and wing cases. Thin Skin comes in 7x2” sheets so you can cut strips to whatever size you like. Thin Skin is stretchable and transluscent with a matte finish on one side and a shiny finish on the other. It is easiest to cut using a razor blade and a ruler. Scissors work as well too. Thin skin is great for shellbacks on scuds and sow bug patterns. It is exceptional for making wing cases. This is perfect for adding a little realism to your nymph patterns.
