Semperfli Dirty Bug Yarn was created to imitate natural colors more realistically on bugs like mayflies and caddis. It was made with staple colors like olives, browns, tans, and greens in mind. Different colors are mixed to more accurately imitate the mottled effect on many bugs. This material is affectionately known as “dubbing on a rope” and makes tying dubbed bodies even easier. It is like dubbing has been pre-wound around itself, all you do is tie it in and wrap!

Dirty Bug Yarn may be used to tie nymphs, wet flies and dry flies. The yarn can be used straight off the spool for larger flies, or it can be easily split into two strands, so you can use one for smaller flies. For a segmented body, two different colors of single strands can be wrapped around your hook.
